THE DREAM I had 3 separate nightmares last night and all 3 I can't remember details but I remember they included being attacked by a dog, a cat, and rat and the intense fear I felt and the surprise by the attack. One nightmare is one thing but 3 in one night all relatively similar? really bothered me :(

BACKGROUND INFORMATION My dad died unexpectedly in November 2011 and I am in new relationship where I cant shake the feeling of impending doom and distrust.

Well if the dream is about impending doom and mistrust then its easy to see why. If you are under constant threat of being attacked then it could represent insecurity and lack of trust. You always fear the worst.

Understanding a dream doesn't really help you it just reflects feelings that you already know about...

This feeling of doom could easily come out at any time. Death of a parent is a big shock and may stay with us for some time.
