THE DREAM The following are short summaries of dream which all contain 'halt'. I have tried best to isolate the symbolic meaning of 'halt' in each dream.

A dream about a boy who stops and looks linked to the dreamer being under pressure to follow his fathers career path. He wanted to do something more creative. Stopping symbolised his wish to stop and think about what he wanted to do at a time when he was under pressure to act in a certain way.

A dream where a lifeguard stops him jumping into a pool linked to the dreamer breaking up with his girlfriend the night before. Stopping symbolised his need to stop and think at a time when his emotions were heightened and he was very upset.

A dream where the dreamer stopped fighting when her husband changes into someone else linked to her being in the middle of a divorce. Fighting had become a habit and stopping fighting symbolised her being forced into confrontation by her husband. She was wanting to get out of the cycle of fighting but could not because her husband was unwilling.

A dream where the dreamer watches knowing the danger but cannot do nothing to stop her children linked to the dreamer being depressed at the time. A dream where 'the four of us were free falling from the mountain top and stopped at some staging area for the night.' was linked to the dreamer recently having a near death experience with a major health problem. She was evidently in a coma and on a life support machine during this time. She had evidently had a brief moment of consciousness and told someone at the hospital that she'd been to the top of a huge mountain and flew with birds which seemed to be angels. Stopping at a staging post was symbolic of a different set of feelings during this whole ordeal.

A dream where the dreamer 'picks up some weed and then gave it back but he stops me' was linked to the dreamer having a horrible fight with her mom and sister who accused her of stealing her brothers money when in reality he had lent it to her. Being stopped from giving the money back was symbolic of her actions being misinterpreted.
