DREAM FORUM - Getting shot in the head
POSTED April 25, 2012, 08:03 by Kiize (Viewed 427 times)
THE DREAM : Hello, I wouldn't usually post my dreams
but this one particularly was so vivid
that I felt I had to.
I was in a classroom I suppose, but
everyone was sitting on the floor and it
felt more like a movie theater. Everyone
was talking normally each in their own
groups, and I was talking to someone who
felt like a friend and another person (a
boy). My friend (she) was teasing and
getting teased (in a childish way) by
this boy and I was just laughing, like
you do.
I then got up and sat down on the floor,
where it was dark, but in a comforting
way (like a movie theater) with a little
bit of light, and I remember the tables
felt so much taller than me, like trees
towering over me, though they looked the
normal size. My friend sat next to me,
and then this boy sat next to me,
squishing me (I do actually recognize
him, but I haven't seen him for years
and I never really talked to him).
He then starts talking to me and I try
to talk to him. I remember looking down
at my legs and i was wearing jeans that
flared at the knees (I know...my dreams
are not fashionable), and trainers.
I remember him raising his eyebrows, and
then I couldn't understand what he was
saying because he was mumbling. I told
him that and he said "You must be stupid
then". I took it in a bad way, and said
"It doesn't make me stupid just because
I can't hear you because you are
mumbling".
Then four people from around me, who
were originally interested in talking to
me suddenly started trying to kill me.
They all stayed sitting down, and
everyone else around was just watching,
like it was fine, and the each of the
four boys had a gun (I don't think they
all had a gun, but two them didn't have
anything specific).
They were taking it in turns to try to
shoot me and kill me, and I remember the
view went to third-person, and I could
see myself lying on the floor, hoping
they wouldn't hit me.
There was music in the background,
suddenly getting louder and louder. I've
never heard it before but it was just
repeating 'Girl on fire'. I would liken
it to a rap of sorts, where they were
just shouting the words over and over.
The songs was then suddenly acting as a
countdown of sorts, as I remember they
only had to say 'Girl on fire' two more
times and I would be safe.
Since there were only a two more lines
to go, I 'played dead'. I laid there,
hoping they would just stop. They didn't
though, and when one of them missed, the
whole room went 'awwww' then laughed a
little, like when someone misses a
throwing a ball at tin cans at a fun
fair stall. Like saying 'Aw well, it was
fun though!'.
The last line came and the boy that I
recognised tried to shoot me, and he hit
my head. I remember actually feeling it,
which happens rarely in my dreams. I sat
straight up, coughing up blood, and
whilst everyone was cheering, I did what
I always do and told myself it was a
dream and I had to try to wake up. Only
thing is that I wasn't sure it was a
dream, and was hoping it was, but I
managed to wake myself up.
THE BACKGROUND:Nothing weird or unusual happened the
day before, however I had woken up, and
then gone back to sleep. Thank you if
you can help me understand this (if
there is anything to understand).

DREAM GUIDE-------------------------------------------
DREAM INTERPRETATION PROGRAM: When you post a dream a list of symbols will appear here. They will help you work out what has caused your dream. The following dream symbols all appear in THIS DREAM.
GUNS: Guns are actually quite abstract symbols in dreams. They can have simple meanings - a gun could represent some moment of confrontation yesterday. But studies of dreams have revealed some interesting meanings. A gun site is almost like a pair of binoculars annd so couldd be your minds way of saying "he is always watching me" or "she likes to highlight my mistakes". Other meanings can link to nervousness and inhibitions as we feel nervous when someone points a gun at us

Gun dreams
BLOOD: Dreams often symbolize current emotions so ask yourself what blood could mean. Blood and wounds can symbolize painful issues so think what caused you pain in an emotional sense. Do you feel depressed right now? Have you just broken up with a boyfriend or girlfriend? Did someone upset you or humiliate you yesterday? Feelings like this could have triggered a dream. One dream about rape was actually triggered by a family meeting the day before. The dreamer was belitted by her sister in law - she felt that she had to stand there and take it as she subtly humiliated her.

DEATH: Death is often used in a quite abstract way in dreams. If you no longer see an ex boyfriend or girlfriend then if they die in a dream it may simply mean that you realise that you will never see them again(the relationship has DIED!). It may also symbolise a change in your life as are no longer able to do something (If you have a bad knee you can no longer play football so that part of you has died). Dreams are often like short plays and the emotions that they evoke could be feelings that you are experiencing right now. If a dear friend or loved one died then you would be devastated. That just may be your minds way of saying that you really value that person - you could not live without them.

TREES: Dreams symbolism can have some quite abstract meanings. Studies have shown that trees can represent someone or something who is highly important to you. But why? Maybe its because people who are important to you are 'deeply rooted' in your emotions. Perhaps you have been thinking through such major changes in your life.

YELLING: Dreams are metaphors so what do you think yelling could symbiolize in your own emotions. If we speak in a brutal and honest way its almost the same as yelling. It shows we do not care about trying to hide unpleasant truths. Conversely yelling may show that you want to say something and be brutally honest but cannot because of rules or you are just trying to be gentle with people. Yelling can symbolise other frustrations - it could be a metaphor for your attempts to make something clear. You could have explained something a million times yet the message still did not get through. Dreams may not necessarily be about you and so a yelling dream may represent your attempts to understand someones strength of feeling. Understanding other people and being able to get along with them is a vital part of being a human being. Effective communication and the ability to emphasise is something that we need to think about.

KILLED OR MURDERED: Dreams tap into similar sets of emotions and so what exactly does murder involve. Firstly, it involves strong emotions so its likely that a dream with murder in reveals your strong negative feelings about someone. Dream studies have shown that murder dreams involve strong negative feelings towards someone or something. It can link to someone who you really dislike - someone who you want out of your life. Murrder can also be a symbol for your rsistance towards something. You want to cut it out of your life!
