THE DREAM - In my dreams its all about the past, I dream of friends, old girlfriends, my childhood and highschool.

THE REALITY In real life the dreamer was on death row. He killed one person and left two others for dead.

THE INTERPRETATION In some ways this dreamers life was over as he was stuck in solitary confinement all day long. So he had little to stimulate him, no nights out, no meaningful friendships, nothing at all. So obviously his mind turns to the past. He relives former times.

Old people may dream of the past as well. They find themselves unable to do the things that they enjoyed doing in the past. So they relive their memories.
