THE DREAM - I am in a mansion with Jim and his parents. I don’t know where it is. I am doing a menial task (sweeping I think). They are just sat there. I ask him if he would like to go on holiday abroad and he says no so I bow my head, obviously upset and continue with what I am doing. Then he becomes defiant, turns on his mum and says actually yes, he does want to go abroad. As if she has been making all his decisions for him. Then I am leaning against a railing fence and he is rubbing up against me from behind with his mum watching and I am asking what the hell he is doing and it’s all about defying his mum and upsetting his mum. He is molesting me and attempts to rape me, just to get at his mum.

THE REALITY The dreamer had just broken up with the man in the dream, Jim. She adored him but he was hopeless at communicating. His only strong relationship was with his mother.

THE INTERPRETATION Normally a rape dream is about the dreamers emotions involving feelings like "powerlessness", "vulnerability", and "humiliation." However, this rape dream is probably about the dreamers thoughts about her ex. A rapist has warped and twisted thinking. They are immature and unhealthy emotionally. That is what this dream is trying to say about the dreamer's ex, that it is best that they broke up because he had a weird and twisted side and was emotionally unhealthy.

The dream also emphasises how much his life revolves around his mother. He is raping his girlfriend in order to defy his mother.
