THE DREAM I was a skateboarder (I have never been a skateboarder in real life). I performed this really cool move which involved skating on the edge of this railing. But unfortunately I needed someones help in some way to get round something. I could not complete this without the other person.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION The day before the dreamer did something quite daring and reckless in that he complained about someone who had been irritating him. However, he regretted doing this as in complaining he had to talk to people he wanted to avoid. Complaining was something which was out of character for him.

THE DREAM ANALYSIS: Dreams often recreate real life. But they do in rather odd ways. A skateboarder is someone who is daring and spontaneous and often reckless. So a skateboarder could symbolise a moment when you felt very reckless and daring. The day before a moment fitted into this perfectly in that the dreamer complained about someone. This was totally out of character. The dream also involves this "need or help". So really the dream pinpoints this type of feeling - "I complained yesterday but that was a somewhat reckless act and in doing so I involved myself with someone I wanted to avoid. I could not complain without them." (he needed their help)
