THE DREAM The following are short summaries of dream which all contain 'locks'. I have tried best to isolate the symbolic meaning of 'locks' in each dream.

A locked basement dream took place as the dreamer was making a real effort not to show any negative feelings. She was trying to be happy and cheerful with everyone. The dream was therefore about locking out negative feelings.

A dream about changing locks linked to the dreamer feeling bitter about someone. She had felt really close to him but now he had moved on. Changing locks was symbolic of her moving on and wanting to lock out her old friend - she no longer trusted him.

A locked door took place as the dreamer was suffering from stress due to family problems. The locked door symbolised the inability to get away from this anxiety.

A locked door dream took place as the dreamer was frustrated because he couldn't use his new camera. It had just arrived but the memory card was being sent separately. The locked door was symbolic of this not being available to him at that moment. He was excluded from something he dearly wanted to do.

An unlocked postbox dream took place as the dreamer had been thinking a lot about CV's and how people lie to get jobs. The unlocked postbox was symbolic of a process that was not safe and fair. People could easily fake things.

A locksmith dream took place as the dreamer was trying to get someone to open up and talk about something. The lock was therefore about getting someone to unlock themselves and talk freely and relax.
